Samuel

Samuel, along with the TMI team, he is with, have safely arrived in Cameroon.   If you are interested, go to www.TeenMissions.org  than click on Updates, than on overseas updates, than you have to scroll through the pages until you find something about Cameroon.  The team leader will be posting a weekly update.  This week they are helping do a boot camp for the nationals over there.

Samuel is the one who keeps our lawn mowers running, and they have not been running since he left.  Our yard looks to be snake friendly.  We had the push running for about 20 minutes the other day.  But our friends, the Hunters, did some bartering with Phillip for some auto parts, and they are coming to mow our yard later this week.  Isn't it wonderful to have such wonderful friends.  Thank you Danny, Brandy and family.

Howdy

Well our VBS is over.  Now back to a normal life again, but what is normal.  Seems nothing is normal.  Samuel is gone and our house is quiet and depressing.  I hope life is going ok for him.  All we have heard from him is one postcard that said  "I got here safe, I am alive, I am tired and I packed way too much stuff."  That is a guy for you, and one who doesn't like to write.  I trust he is well and enjoying it.  He is not allowed to call home.  We are planning on going down for the comminishing service on Sunday July 6.  He will leave for Cameroon on July 9 and will come home on Aug. 16.

If you want to see pictures of our VBS go to floridabreeze.

God is good...  always.

Home again

We got home last evening around 10:30.  We had a flat tire between Marianna and Dothan.  Than we stopped and cleaned Mowery yet before we got home.

It felt so good to be in North Dakota again.  The wedding was really beautiful.  The weather on Saturday morning was sunny and clear with not a cloud in the sky.  It had been cloudy and rainy all week.  The food was being served outside, it started getting cloudy and we all hoped it would pass by, but it didn't.  They just picked up the serving tables and moved them into the tent, and took down all the tables that had been set up for people to eat at, and the rest of the people ate in the tent.  God gave us a few hours of sunny clear weather on Saturday morning.  After the rain shower it cleared up again, but it was cold and windy.  I'm sure Amy will have pictures of the wedding when she gets home.

Now, we need to get Samuel ready for Teen Missions and Camaroon.  He leaves Friday morning.

Too many changes in my lilfe:  Andrew getting married,  Swartzentrubers moving, and Samuel being goen for eight weeks.

Life

Life is so exciting!  God is so good!  Life at the Drawbond house just seems to keep going.  On Wednesday we had Jay and Ayla here,  it is so much fun to have grandkids, and to have them come for a visit.

Last week we bought three sewing machines.  That should last me for a little while.  One is to replace my upholstery machine, this one has a reverse on, my old one didn't.  Phillip and Samuel went to Tampa on Saturday to pick it up.  Another one we found on E-bay for a good price, it is also a commercial machine, but it is for lighter fabrics, like drapes or home decoraters fabrics.  And........than I went to the garage sale at the Pioneer Settlement on Saturday and found a Bernina 830 for five dollars.  I know that most of you all out there don't get excited about sewing machines.  But....a Bernina 830 is a very good machine.  very old, but good.  It doesn't work:)  Phillip took it to get it worked on, IF we can get it going it will be a good little machine.

Time to get the day going.
